Dubu buchim yangnyumjang 두부부침양념장

Dubu buchim yangnyumjang 두부부침양념장 is a simple side dish (banchan), great both warm and cold. The soy sauce saturates the tofu very quickly, so you have to be careful how much you put on. Although it’s considered as a side dish, I ate it all with some rice totally alone and I was full.

a package (280g) of tofu,
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
1 clove of minced garlic,
1 green onion (chopped),
1 teaspoon of hot pepper flakes,
1 teaspoon of honey,
2 tablespoons of soy sauce,
2 teaspoons of sesame oil.

Slice the tofu into 1cm pieces and drain off the water with a paper towel. In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, place the tofu in and lower the heat. After about 5 minutes, when the bottom of the tofu turns golden brown, turn it over and fry for another 5 minutes.

Prepare the sauce by mixing the remaining ingredients.

Put fried tofu on a plate and spoon the sauce over it.

Sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds.
