Goguma Mattang 고구마 맛탕 – candied sweet potato

If you like sweet potatoes and sweet things, this recipe is definitely for you. Goguma Mattang 고구마 맛탕 tastes the best right after cooking, when the potatoes are still warm.

300g of sweet potatoes,
a bottle of cooking oil,
3 tablespoons of sugar.
Peel of the sweet potato skin. Cut potatoes into small pieces and soak them in water for about 10 minutes. Dry them with a paper towel.

Deep fry the sweet potatoes in oil until they turn golden brown. Remove them from the oil and set on a paper towel.

In a heated pan, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and sugar. Cook it until the sugar melts.

Quickly add the fried potato cubes and mix them gently with the sauce. Turn off the heat.
