Due to the numerous potential cities where the auditions could be held, only the most eager K-pop fans can provide an opportunity to organize this spectacular international event. Dreamstage Korea: Global Flashmob Day is an event initiated by Dream Stage Korea, which recognized the power of fans flash mobs – it is them who decide where everything will take place. Thanks to them, the fans will show how much the Korean wave has spread. All flash mobs must take place at the same time and day. Cities in which most fans appear, will be given a chance to become the stops for Dreamstage Korea. Dreamstage Korea: Global Flashmob Day is not only an event deciding on the auditions, but also on the arrival of Korean celebrities. Polish Global Flashmob Day took place in the capital of Poland, Warsaw in the very center of town, right in front of The Palace of Culture and Science. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side. It’s been pouring rain for a few days, or maybe weeks… Out of declared 430 people, only a little over half appeared. But it doesn’t change the fact that the hard work everyone put into the event, made it special.

First, all the people gathered in front of The Palace of Culture and Science, danced together to a self-made remix of popular Korean songs.

The main part though was Street Dance Battle between previously registered groups. You could watch performances to 2ne1’s “I’m the Best”, T-ara’s “Roly Poly” and “I Go Crazy Because Of You”, Miss A’s “Breathe” and “Good-bye Baby”, SHINee’s “Replay” and “Ring Ding Dong”, SNSD’s “Gee” and “Genie”, and Super Junior’s “Bonamana”.

Make it look a bit naked… Nude kimbap 누드김밥

28 Jul

Typically kimbap comes with the seaweed on the outside, nude kimbap 누드김밥 however comes with the seaweed on the inside and rice on the outside. This changes the texture and taste slightly, although the filling remains the same as in standard kimbap.

Ingredients:
4 cups of cooked rice,
a package of seaweed,
a package of crab-meat,
1 carrot,
30g of marinated radish,
100g of omelet,
a small package of fresh spinach,

sesame seeds,
sesame oil.

In a large bowl, combine cooked rice with a sauce made from 1/2 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Let it cool down to room temperature.

Cut crab-meat, carrot, radish and omelet intro strips. Lightly sauté carrot with some sesame oil.

Blanch spinach in hot water and refresh in cold water.

Put a wrapping foil on a bamboo mat and spread on it a thin layer on rice. Put a sheet of seaweed on it. Place the slice of cheese and the rest of the ingredients you have towards the bottom.

Roll it up gently with your bamboo mat. Take the wrapping foil gently and sprinkle nude kimbap with some sesame seeds. Using a sharp knife, cut the ready rolls into 2cm thick pieces.
